Know About Blackburn
Blackburn is a large town in Lancashire, England, it is situated to the north of the West Pennine Moors and the name of the town first appears in the Domesday Book as Blachebourne, a royal manor during the days of Edward the Confessor and William the Conqueror, and blackburn means 'dark-coloured burn' from Old English burna "stream", recorded as Blacheburne in 1128. Blackburn was a key centre for the textile industry during the Industrial Revolution. Blackburn Cathedral is one of the main focal points of the own, officially known as the Cathedral Church of Blackburn Saint Mary the Virgin, and it was the first stone church was built on there in Norman times, and a symbol of Blackburn.
